3-day training workshop on seed quality and health test begins at BAU

MYMENSINGH, Feb 25, 2025 (BSS) – A three-day training workshop titled “seed quality and health test” began on the Bangladesh Agriculture University (BAU) premises here this morning.

The training programme arranged particularly for the post-graduate students will be held at Professor Golam Ali Fakir Seed Pathology center of the university.

BAU’s vice chancellor Professor Dr AK Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest while Professor Golam Ali Fakir Seed Pathology Center’s director Professor Dr M Aiyub Ali chaired the function.

BAU’s agriculture faculty dean Professor Dr GM Mujibar Rahman, treasurer (in charge) Professor Dr Humayun Kabir, IQAC’s director Professor Dr M Asaduzzaman Sarker, Agro meteorology division chief Professor Dr Ahmad Khairul Hasan and Plant Entomology division Chief Professor Dr KM Golam Dastigir also attended the workshop as the special guests.

The training program will help the students in developing expertise on seed verification, test and field level working with the farmers, said the BAU’s Vice Chancellor while inaugurating the workshop.
