'Skilled manpower crucial for organizational productivity growth'

RANGPUR, Oct 31, 2025 (BSS) - Officials and experts have said that skilled manpower equipped with technological knowledge is essential to enhance an organization's productivity.

The Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) District Office organized a five-day training course on "Industrial Entrepreneurship Development," which concluded on Thursday afternoon at its district office.

A total of 25 trainees participated in the course and received guidance on several important topics, including the qualities of a successful entrepreneur, Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis, macro and micro screening, production management, online marketing, project profile preparation, and bank loan procedures.

Director of BSCIC's Rajshahi Regional Office Jafar Bayezid attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest, while Deputy General Manager of the Rangpur District Office Md Ehsanul Haque presided over the event.

Jafar Bayezid said that productivity growth means increasing the production of quality goods and services through the use of modern technology.

"Productivity growth demonstrates efficiency and positive progress in the management of an organization. For this, skilled manpower with technological knowledge is vital," he said.

Highlighting BSCIC's contribution to developing skilled human resources, he said the organization has been playing an important role in building skilled manpower through various training programs.

He urged the trainees to apply the knowledge and skills gained from the course in planning and operating their businesses effectively and to increase productivity by ensuring product and service quality.

Later, the chief guest distributed certificates among the 25 trainees.

BSCIC officials and employees were also present on the occasion.
