CHATTOGRAM, Feb 13, 2025 (BSS) - A Liberian flag-ship carrying 52,500 tonnes of wheat from Argentina arrived at Chattogram port last night.

“The cargo ship MV Indigo Omega reached at the outer anchorage of the port on Wednesday night,” officials of Food Department told BSS today.

They said the cargo vessel -MV Indigo Omega- carrying 52,500 metric tons of wheat imported from Argentina through an international open tender (Package-03) has arrived at Chattogram Port.

The ship is being moved to the silo jetty at Patenga for off-loading the food grain after the verification of the sample and unloading work is scheduled to begin from this evening if sample is found okay, sources said.

The government procured the wheat on a government-to-government (G2G) deal in last October.
