DHAKA, June 16, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind over the country in the next 24 hours, commencing 9 am.

"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rajshahi & Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country, the bulletin said.

The highest temperature on Sunday was recorded 36.3 degrees Celsius in Dimla under Rangpur Division, while today's minimum temperature was 23.9 degrees Celsius in Bandarban.

The sun sets at 6:48 pm today and rises at 5:11 am tomorrow in the capital.
