Embassy to extend cooperation in exporting mangoes to Indonesia: Envoy

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, July 1, 2025 (BSS) – Indonesian embassy in Dhaka today assured Bangladeshi entrepreneurs to provide all possible cooperation if they want to export mangoes to Indonesia.  

“We will extend required cooperation if any businessman or trade bodies want to export those to Indonesia as the mangoes of this region are famous for their taste and flavour,” said Indonesian Ambassador to Bangladesh Arif Suyoko here. 

The envoy gave the assurance while talking to journalists during his visit to Chapai Agro Industries, the first fruit protecting paper bag manufacturer located in Maharajpur in Sadar upazila this afternoon.

During the visit, both Indonesia and Bangladesh sides had detailed discussions on Chapai Agro's ongoing projects and future work plans. They expressed optimism about the bright prospects of exporting mangoes to Indonesia. 

Later, Ambassador Arif Suyoko visited various mango orchards in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawbganj, popularly known as the capital of mango, in the country.  

The Indonesian envoy was accompanied by Robbi Ferly Harkha, third secretary of the Indonesian Embassy in Dhaka, Jasmin Akhtar, Chairman and female entrepreneur of Chapai Agro Industries, Managing Director and industrial entrepreneur Md. Shafiqul Islam and other officials of the embassy during his visit.
