MEXICO CITY, Oct 6, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said Sunday she was "confident" that she could negotiate a good trade deal with the United States, despite Donald Trump's aggressive worldwide tariff policy.

"I'm confident we will reach a good deal with the United States and all other nations of the world with respect to trade," Sheinbaum told thousands of supporters as she celebrated her first year in office.
