Remittance inflow rises by 15.34pc in first 6 days of July

DHAKA, July 7, 2025 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a remarkable year-on-year growth of 15.34 percent, reaching US$427 million in the first six days of July.

During the same period last year, the country's remittance inflow was $371 million, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued here today.

Expatriate Bangladeshis sent a record $30.33 billion in remittances in the fiscal year 2024-25 (FY25), marking the highest amount ever received in a single fiscal year in the country's history. 

This figure reflects a 26.80 percent increase compared to the $23.91 billion received in the previous fiscal year (FY24).
