More entrepreneurs to come forward like Bengal Meat: Farida Akhter

PABNA, July 9, 2025(BSS) - Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter has expressed the hope that more entrepreneurs will come forward in the country following Bengal Meat.

She expressed this hope while visiting the Bengal Meat Processing Industries Limited at Santhia upazila here recently. 

The adviser also expressed her satisfaction over the global standard management of Bengal Meat.

Among others, Director General of Livestock Directorate Dr Md Abu Sufian, Deputy Commissioner of Pabna Mohammad Mofizul Islam, Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Santhia Rizu Tamanna and head of procurement of Bengal Meat Chhayadul Haque Bhuiyan accompanied the adviser during the visit.

The adviser visited the improved meat processing infrastructure, Effluent Treatment Plant, water treatment facilities, biogas plant and other environment friendly technology and activities of the institution.

She said such type of industrial entrepreneur can play an important role in export and the development of rural economy and livestock sector.

After the inspection, she exchanged views with the senior officials of Bengal Meat where she discussed government policy supports and necessary facilities in the sector and highlighted the future planning and prospects of this sector.
