Emdadul Hossain elected as new RpCCI president

RANGPUR, July 14, 2025 (BSS) - Proprietor of the Messer's Janata Trading of Rangpur Emdadul Hossain Emdad has been elected as new president of Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RpCCI) for the 2025-2027 tenure.
 
In addition, proprietor of Messer's M K Traders Monjur Ahmed Azad has been elected as the senior vice-president, while proprietor of Messer's Modern Jewelers Md Enamul Haque and proprietor of Messer's Beauty Hardware and Tools Md Zulfiqar Aziz Khan have been elected as vice-presidents, respectively.
 
Chairman of the RpCCI Election Board- 2025-2027 and senior vice-president and manager of Rangpur Branch of National Bank Limited Md Sarwar Morshed announced the names of newly elected RpCCI president, senior vice-president and vice-presidents as there were no competing candidates for these four posts at the RpCCI boardroom on Monday.
 
The newly elected 21 directors for the 25-member RCCI executive committee include 14 from the General Group, six from the Associate Group and one from the Trade Group.
 
The newly elected 14 RpCCI directors from the General Group are: Partha Bose, Md Obaidur Rahman Ratan, Khandaker Mahmud Elahi (Biplob), Md Kamal Hossain, Md Mamunur Rashid, Md Touhid Hossain, Md Saiful Alam, Ashraful Alam, Alhaj Md Abdul Halim, Md Azizul Haque, Md Shariful Islam, Md Harun-or-Rashid, Md Taifur Rahman, Md Shafiqul Islam Mithu.
 
The six elected directors from the Associate Group are: Pranoy Banik, Khemchand Somani (Robi), Md Shafiqul Islam Mona, Md Rashidus Sultan Bablu, Md Abdullahel Kafi (Dudu) and Golam Ahmed Abdul Mukit.
 
Besides, Md Wasim Bari Raj, General Secretary of Rangpur District Motor Owners Association, has been elected unopposed as representative Director of the RpCCI from the Trade Group.
