17pc growth of remittance inflow till Sept 24

DHAKA, Sept 25, 2025 (BSS) - The inflow of remittances witnessed a significant year-on-year growth of 17 percent through the first 24 days of September.

According to the latest data issued by the Bangladesh Bank (BB) today, the total inflow of remittances reached US$2,234 million during this period. 

This represents a notable increase compared to the previous year, when the country's remittance inflow stood at $1,909 million during the same time frame.

The growth trend is also reflected in the cumulative figures for the current fiscal year. During the period from July to September 24, 2025, expatriates sent remittances totalling $7,134 million.

This performance surpasses the figures from the same period in the previous fiscal year, which saw remittances amounting to $6,045 million.
