ICT fixes Oct 6 for hearing on crimes against humanity of AL leader Hanif

DHAKA, Oct 05, 2025 (BSS) -The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 today fixed tomorrow for hearing on the charges of crimes against humanity against Joint General Secretary of Awami League (AL) Mahbubul Alam Hanif and three others during last year’s mass uprising.

The three-member ICT-2 led by Justice Nazrul Islam Chowdhury fixed the date for taking the charges into cognizance for their involvement in the killing of six people in Kushtia as the ICT prosecution team submitted a petition in this regard.

Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tajul Islam and its Prosecutor Mizanul Islam moved the tribunal on behalf of the prosecution.

The other three accused in the case are - President of Kushtia Zila Awami League Sadar Uddin Khan, its General Secretary Azgar Ali and General Secretary of Kushtia Poura AL Ataur Rahman Khan Ata.  

All the accused of the case have been absconding since long.
