ICSB holds its 15th AGM

DHAKA, Sept 27, 2025 (BSS) - The 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) was held today at a hotel in the capital.

M Naseemul Hye, President of the Institute, presided over the meeting and placed the council report for the year 2024. Secretary in Charge of the Institute Md. Shamibur Rahman gave the opening remarks.

The President of ICSB, in his speech, highlighted the major activities and achievements of the Institute during the year 2024. 

The major events and milestones of the Institute include - successfully holding of 11th ICSB National Award for Corporate Governance Excellence 2023, successfully conducting training, seminars, CPD programmes, unveiling of new website, implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), MoU signing with different Organizations, establishment of ICSB Chattogram Branch, receiving verdict on the land case in favour of ICSB at Aftab Nagar.

Naseemul also thanked the members for their valuable suggestions and relentless cooperation towards the development of the Institute, said a press release. 

A large number of members were present at the meeting and participated in the discussion on annual report. They appreciated the performance of the Institute.
 
They also asserted that the council is working hard to successfully achieve the targets committed earlier and also to materialize the long cherished dream to elevate the Institute to a new height in turning it as a ‘Center of Excellence’. 

The audited financial statements of the Institute for the year ended 31 December 2024 were presented by the treasurer of ICSB Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun before the members. The members approved the council report and financial statements of the Institute. ‘ACNABIN Chartered Accountants’ was appointed as the external auditors of the Institute for the year 2025.

Senior Vice President Mohammad Shafiqul Islam Bhuiyan, Vice President A. K. M. Mushfiqur Rahman, council members, a decent number of fellow and associate members, were also present at the meeting.
