16.4pc growth of remittance inflow till Dec 21

DHAKA, Dec 22, 2025 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 16.4 percent, reaching US$2,337 million in the twenty one days of December, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today.
 
In 2024, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $2007 million.

During the July to Dec 21, 2025 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $15,375 million, which was $13,145 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
