DHAKA, Dec 22, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested 20 people during a day-long special operation carried out in different areas under Uttara West Police Station in the capital.

According to police sources, the operation was conducted on Sunday as part of ongoing efforts to maintain law and order. The arrestees were allegedly involved in various criminal activities.

The arrested individuals are Md. Tanvir Sheikh (20), Md. Ariful Islam (24), Md. Shiblu (20), Md. Shahadat (25), Md. Johnny (27), Md. Rajib Hossain (39), Md. Enamul (22), Ariful Islam (26), Shakib Rahman (23), Abdul Malek (19), Md. Sohan Mia (22), Md. Faruk Ahmed (38), Mehedi Hasan (45), Md. Alamgir (35), Md. Nizam Uddin (35), Mosharraf Hossain (22), Md. Russell Hasan (22), Fazal Islam (20), Md. Sunny Hasan (20) and Md. Saikat (27).

Police said all the accused were produced before the court following their arrests.

Officials of Uttara West Police Station said such special operations will continue on a regular basis to ensure public safety and maintain peace in the area.
