19.8pc growth of remittance inflow till Feb 4

DHAKA, Feb 5, 2026 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 19.8 percent reaching $506 million in the first four days of February, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today.
 
Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $422 million.
 
During the July to February 4, 2026 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $19,939 million, which was $16,384 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
