DHAKA, Mar 1, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh is set to become a manufacturer of Greenhouse Hydroponics Tents, as Green Pure Houseware (BD) Co., Ltd., a China (Hong Kong)-based company, has signed a land lease agreement with the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) to establish a manufacturing facility at the BEPZA Economic Zone.

The company will invest US$ 30.47 million to produce Greenhouse Hydroponics Tents—specialized portable enclosed structures designed for soilless plant cultivation-alongside EVA cabinet mats, cartons, and PE packaging films.

The hydroponics tents represent a non-traditional and high-value export product, reflecting BEPZA’s strategic focus on product diversification and entry into specialized global markets.

The products will be exported to major international destinations including the USA, Europe, the UK, Canada, and Japan. The project is expected to create employment opportunities for 3,000 Bangladeshi nationals, said a press release.

The agreement was signed today at the BEPZA Complex in the capital. BEPZA Executive Director (Investment Promotion) Md Tanvir Hossain and Green Pure Houseware Managing Director Wang Shenyu signed on behalf of their organizations.

BEPZA Executive Chairman Maj Gen Mohammad Moazzem Hossain witnessed the signing ceremony.

Welcoming the investor, the Executive Chairman reaffirmed BEPZA’s commitment to providing seamless services and a business-friendly environment to ensure the successful implementation and operation of the project.

The ceremony was attended by Abdullah Al Mamun, Member (Engineering); A N M Foyzul Haque, Member (Finance); A.S.M. Anwar Parvez, Executive Director (Public Relations); along with senior officials of BEPZA and representatives of the company.
