DHAKA, June 8, 2026 (BSS) - A 23-member business delegation led by Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI) President Mohd. Khorshed Alam will participate in the 10th China-South Asia Expo (CSAE) and the 30th China Kunming Import and Export Fair 2026.

The export fair scheduled to be held in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China from June 11 to 16.

According to a BCCCI statement, the delegation includes leading business representatives from Bangladesh's major sectors, including textiles, ready-made garments (RMG), home textiles, pharmaceuticals, leather and leather goods, agriculture, healthcare and medical services, manufacturing, trade, services and investment promotion, said a press release today.

The visit aims to strengthen trade and investment relations between Bangladesh and China, expand business-to-business cooperation, promote Bangladeshi products in the Chinese market and attract greater Chinese investment into Bangladesh.

BCCCI said special emphasis will be given to increasing exports of textiles and garments, pharmaceuticals, leather and leather products, agro-based products and other value-added goods in an effort to help reduce the trade imbalance between the two countries.

During the visit, the delegation will attend the opening ceremony of the expo, participate in the Bangladesh-China Trade and Investment Forum and hold a series of high-level business meetings and networking sessions with Chinese enterprises and institutions.

As part of the programme, BCCCI is expected to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME) to enhance institutional cooperation and promote greater collaboration between the private sectors of Bangladesh and China.

The chamber also said discussions are underway regarding a proposed MoU with Bank of Huzhou Co., Ltd.

BCCCI expressed optimism hoping that the business delegation would create new opportunities for trade, investment and industrial cooperation, while further strengthening the strategic economic partnership between Bangladesh and China.
