CCGP approves 10 service provider proposals for youth employability project

DHAKA, June 24, 2026 (BSS) - The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) today approved 10 separate proposals under the Ministry of Youth and Sports for appointing service providers to implement the "Economic Acceleration and Resilience for NEET" project at a total cost of Taka 1,103.54 crore.

The approvals came from the 28th meeting of the CCGP this year held at the Bangladesh Secretariat with Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury in the chair.

Of the 20 proposals placed before the committee, 10 were from the Ministry of Youth and Sports for hiring specialized service providers to manage and operate Vocational Learning and Training Centres (VLTCs) across the country under the Economic Acceleration and Resilience for NEET project being implemented by the Department of Youth Development (DYD).

The project targets young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) and aims to enhance their employability and economic resilience through market-oriented vocational skills training.

According to the approved proposals, BRAC JV was awarded Package S7 for the Dhaka Division at a cost of Taka 196.06 crore and Package S13 for the Rangpur Division at a cost of Taka 144.13 crore.

For the Chattogram Division, the project has been divided into three clusters. CARE Bangladesh JV secured Package S9.1 covering the hill districts of Bandarban, Khagrachari and Rangamati at a cost of Taka 38.27 crore. 

Save the Children International JV was awarded Package S9.2 for Chattogram and Cox's Bazar districts at a cost of Taka 72.87 crore.

Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) JV received Package S9.3 covering Feni, Lakshmipur, Cumilla, Noakhali, Brahmanbaria and Chandpur districts at a cost of Taka 165.79 crore.

The committee also approved three additional packages in favour of CARE Bangladesh JV. These include Package S10 for the Khulna Division at a cost of Taka 112.67 crore, Package S11 for the Mymensingh Division at Taka 88.11 crore and Package S12 for the Rajshahi Division at Taka 121.79 crore.

Besides, Save the Children International JV was selected for Package S8 in the Barishal Division at a cost of Taka 69.55 crore, while Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) JV was awarded Package S14 for the Sylhet Division at a cost of Taka 94.30 crore.
