DHAKA, June 29, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh received US$35.343 billion in remittances during the first 363 days of fiscal year 2025-26 (July 2025 to June 28, 2026), registering a 17.6 percent year-on-year growth compared with US$30.047 billion received during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

According to the latest data, expatriate Bangladeshis sent US$2.586 billion in remittances during the first 28 days of June, up 1.8 percent from US$2.540 billion received during the same period in June 2025.

On June 28 alone, remittance inflows amounted to US$133 million.

The sustained double-digit growth in remittances throughout FY2025-26 reflects the strong contribution of Bangladeshi migrant workers to the national economy, providing crucial support to the country's foreign exchange reserves, external sector stability, and domestic consumption.

With only a few days remaining in the fiscal year, total remittance inflows have already surpassed US$35 billion, highlighting one of the strongest annual performances in recent years.
