Bhutanese envoy pays courtesy call on BB chief

DHAKA, July 19, 2026 (BSS) - Ambassador of Bhutan to Bangladesh Dasho Karma Hamu Dorjee today paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Md. 
Mostaqur Rahman at his office.

Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor Md. Sarwar Hossain and senior officials of the Embassy of Bhutan in Bangladesh were present during the meeting, said a 
press release.

During the courtesy call, the two sides held cordial discussions on a range of issues of mutual interest, including Bangladesh-Bhutan bilateral 
cooperation, expansion of trade, digital banking, and the development of the financial sector.

They also expressed their shared commitment to further strengthening the longstanding friendly relations between the two countries and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
