China says exports grew 25% on-year in August

BEIJING, Sept 8, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - China's imports and exports surged in August, official data showed on Tuesday, helped by a global AI buildout that has fuelled demand for the country's technology products.

Exports spiked 25 percent year-on-year and imports jumped 28.2 percent, the General Administration of Customs said.
