KHULNA, Jan 15, 2025 (BSS) - Election Commissioner Brig Gen (retd) Abul Fazal Muhammad Sanaullah has asked the district and upazila level Election Commission (EC) officials to prepare a flawless voters list for holding a free, fair and credible election.

“You have to discharge duties with utmost honesty and sincerity to ensure listing eligible people as voters,” he reminded them while addressing a views-sharing meeting with EC officials at the office conference hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) here today.

EC Additional Secretary KM Ali Newaj, Regional Election Officer Humayun Kabir and Superintendent of Police Mosharraf Hossain also spoke as special guests with DC Muhammad Saiful Islam in the chair.
 
Election Commissioner Abul Fazal Muhammad Sanaullah directed the EC officials to ensure voting rights of the public in general without doing any partiality.

Simultaneously, the people who are eligible to become voters should be encouraged to be listed as voter, he added.

Besides, special attention should be given on enlisting the women in voter list so that they are not deprived of various civic services.

Apart from this, the people should be well-informed about the importance of becoming voters as citizens of the country, EC Fazal Sanaullah added.
