SUNAMGANJ, Feb 3, 2025 (BSS) - A three-day agricultural technology fair was 
inaugurated at Sunamganj sadar upazila premises today.

The Upazila Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) office organised the 
fair.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Sunamganj Dr. Mohammad Ileas Mia addressed the 
fair as the chief guest while Deputy Director of the DAE, Sunamganj Bimal 
Chandra Som spoke it as special guest with Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer 
(UNO) Atish Darshi Chakma in the chair.

Later, the DC along with other distinguished guests visited different stalls 
of the fair. 

A total of 14 stalls were set up in the fair.

In the fair, crop diversification stall, vegetable cultivation on Sorjan bed, 
Raised bed farming [the farming practice that utilizes raised beds to 
cultivate upland crops in low-or-medium lying areas], vegetable farming on 
floating bed, Ginger and vegetable farming in sack, mixed fruits cultivation, 
safe food cultivation, soil health protection and raising crop production 
through developed management system were displayed.

The fair will continue till February 5.
