Ctg bar forms new ad-hoc committee

CHATTOGRAM, Feb 17, 2025 (BSS)- Chattogram District Bar Association in a general meeting today announced a five-member ad-hoc committee led by senior member Advocate Mokbul Qader Chowdhury.

The other members are- Shamsul Alam, Syed Anwar Hossain, Zahurul Alam, and Rafique Ahmed.

The committee will organize next election of he association within next 60 days.

Outgoing general secretary of the association advocate Ashraf Hossain Chowdhury Razzak said the ad-hoc committee has been formed as tenure of the existing committee expired.

The elections were originally scheduled for February 10.  A total of 40 candidates were set to contest for 21 posts with 5,404 lawyers eligible to vote.
