Govt distributes livestock, food among small ethnic groups in Tangail

TANGAIL, March 19, 2025 (BSS) – The government today distributed bull 
calves, heifers and food among small ethnic group people to improve the socio-
economic and living standards of the backward people living in the plain land of 
Ghatail upazila of the district.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Abu Sayeed distributed bulls and heifers 
among backward ethnic groups in Sagardigi of the upazila this afternoon. 

Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Bahauddin Saroa Rizvi and officials and 
employees of the concerned departments were present at the time.

A total of 32 bulls and 32 heifers were distributed among the selected 
beneficiaries under the Integrated Livestock Development Project to improve the 
socio-economic and living standards of the small ethnic groups.


Around 150 kg of granular food was distributed among the beneficiaries who 
received bull calves and 100 kg of granular food along with vitamins were also 
distributed among the beneficiaries who received heifers.
