JOYPURHAT, March 19, 2025 (BSS) –Over 4,000 underprivileged families in nine wards of Joypurhat municipality have received Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) rice ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Additional Deputy Commissioner and Administrator of Joypurhat Municipality Md Sabur Ali distributed the rice among the beneficiaries to support them during the festive season.
Joypurhat Municipality Executive Engineer Abu Jafar Md Reza, Administrative Officer Abdul Hashem, Social Development Officer Hasanuzzaman, and Deputy Assistant Engineer Mizanur Rahman, among others, were present during the distribution.
The Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief allocated 46.21 tonnes of rice, ensuring that each of the 4,621 families across nine wards received 10 kg of rice.
