GAZIPUR, March 20, 2025 (BSS) – The government today distributed bull
calves, heifers and food among 102 small ethnic group people to improve the
socio-economic and living standards of the backward people living in the plain
land of Kaliakoir upazila of the district.

The Upazila Livestock Department organized a distribution program at the Janata
High School ground of Fulbaria Union.

The cows were distributed among the selected beneficiaries under the Integrated
Livestock Development Project to improve the socio-economic and living
standards of the small ethnic groups.

Presided over by the Upazila Water Resources Officer Dr. Mohammad Mizanur
Rahman, it was attended by Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Saiful Islam, Upazila
Assistant Livestock Officer Shahjahan Ali, Upazila Assistant Livestock Officer
Mansur Ahmed, Project Facilitator Uttam Kumar, among others.

Upazila Water Resources Officer Dr. Mizanur Rahman said that a list of 1,419
people has been prepared in Kaliakair upazila and all registered people will get the
assistance in phases.
