8 shops gutted in Tangail fire

TANGAIL, March 20, 2025 (BSS) - Eight shops, including a medicine shop, 
were gutted in fire at Mirzapur upazila of the district early this morning.

The fire broke out at Patharghata Bazar in Tarafpur union of the upazila around 
12.30 am and engulfed the adjacent shops.

Being informed, three fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze 
after two-hours of hectic efforts, said Tangail Fire Service and Civil Defense 
Assistant Director Shafiqul Islam Bhuiyan.
