TANGAIL, March 20, 2025 (BSS) - A brick kiln was fined Taka 1 lakh for manufacturing bricks without approval of the Department of Environment (DoE) in Mirzapur upazila of the district today.

A mobile court led by Tangail Environment Directorate and Mirzapur Upazila Administration conducted the raid in Dewhata area under Mirzapur upazila.

The brick kiln is Messers. Sony Bricks.

Biplop Kumar Sutrodhor, Visitor of Tangail Environment Directorate said, “Due to lack of approval of the Department of Environment (DoE) the brick kiln was fined. To protect environment, this kind of operation will continue against illegal brick kilns.”

The court demolished the brick kiln and ordered the kiln to stop all activities, he added.
