2 killed in B'baria road crash

BRAHMANBARIA, April 8, 2025 (BSS) - Two youths were killed and four others injured in a road accident in Ramrail area of Sadar upazila here this morning.

The deceased were Tanvir Mia, 23, son of Amjad Hossain of Nazardaulat village in Nabinagar upazila and Rafiqul Islam, 25, son of Idan Mia, a resident of Lalpur under Ashuganj upazila of the district.

The accident took place on the Cumilla-Sylhet highway when a lorry hit a CNG-run auto rickshaw from opposite direction, leaving its drive and five passengers injured critically, said Mozaffar Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Model Police Station.

The injured were taken to Sadar Hospital where Tanvir and Amjad succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment, the OC confirmed.
