BARGUNA, April 8, 2025 (BSS) - A school teacher was killed in a road accident at Daktarbari on Amtoli-Patuakhali road under Amtoli upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased was Md. Khalilur Rahman, 45, an assistant teacher of a primary school in Amtoli upazila of the district.

The accident took place around 9 am when a bus hit a motorcycle from behind, leaving its rider Khalilur injured critically on the spot, said Arifur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Amtoli Police Station.

He was rushed to Amtoli Upazila Health Complex. Later, he was shifted to Barishal Shebachim Hospital as his condition deteriorated but died on way to the hospital.

A case was filed in this connection.
