Agro-incentive distributed among 1,220 farmers in Naogaon

NAOGAON, April 9, 2025 (BSS) - Seeds and chemical fertilizer were distributed 
among 1,220 small and marginal farmers of Sapahar upazila of the district 
under the "Agricultural Incentive Programme" to increase the production of 
Ufshi Aush paddy and sesame in the Kharip-1 season.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Selim Ahmed distributed the incentives among 
the farmers at a function held at the upazila premises.

Ufshi paddy seeds were distributed among 1,200 farmers of the upazila and 
sesame seeds were distributed among 20 farmers.

Each of the farmers got five kilograms of seeds, 10-kg of Diammonium 
phosphate (DAP), 10-kg of Muriate of Potassium (MOP) for cultivating Aush 
paddy on one bigha of land and one kilogram of seeds, 10-kg of DAP and five-
kg of MOP for cultivation sesame crop.

The agricultural incentives distribution ceremony was held under the 
chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Selim Ahmed.

Among others, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Abida Sifat, Upazila Agriculture 
Officer Shapla Khatun, Additional Agriculture Officer Moniruzzaman Talki, 
Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Golam Rabbani, Upazila Deputy Assistant Plant 
Conservation Officer Ataur Rahman Selim and beneficiary farmers were present.
