Emphasis on maintaining quality of development projects in Khulna

KHULNA, April 21, 2025 (BSS) - With the current fiscal year drawing to a close, government officials from various departments in Khulna have been urged to prioritize quality and standards in the execution of ongoing development projects, rather than rushing to meet deadlines.

The call was made during the monthly meeting of the Khulna District Development Coordination Committee, held today at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's office. 

Presiding over the meeting, Khulna Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Saiful Islam stressed the importance of completing all construction works with due diligence to ensure long-term benefits.

Highlighting the ongoing SSC examinations, the DC also directed officials involved in exam-related duties to perform their responsibilities with the highest level of sincerity and vigilance.

Addressing the waterlogging issue, which severely impacted the region last year, the DC said that strategic locations have already been identified for dredging activities. 

He assured that these efforts will be carried out on a priority basis to improve water drainage and minimize public suffering during the upcoming monsoon season.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Operations) Anisuzzaman reaffirmed the commitment of law enforcement and administrative personnel, stating, "We are all working diligently in our respective roles and will continue to serve with utmost sincerity."

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Bithan Kumar Mondal, Senior Assistant Commissioner (Khulna Zone) of KMP Shihab Karim, Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. Saikat Md. Rezwanul Haque, Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNO ), officials from various government departments, and other committee members, attended the meeting.
