KMP works for improving law and order in city

KHULNA, Aug 25, 2025 (BSS) - Members of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) have been working tirelessly for improving law and order to curb crimes in Khuln city.  

“Police have intensified its drive for any criminal activities including mob violence, extortions, robbery, abduction, drug trading, killing, women and children oppression” s a KMP official told BSS today ( Monday).

Assistant Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of the Media and Public Relations Division of the KMP, Khondokar Hossain Ahmad, said the KMP is taking prompt actions to ensure security of the people.  

The KMP sources, police arrested 87, including 46 FIR accused, from 1 September 2024 to July 31, 2025.

ADC Khondokar Ahsan Ahmad said police unearthed five killing cases regarding easy bike, rickshaw van theft cases and arrested 16.

“KMP is working to unearth the mystery of 2 killing cases and is getting awareness and security training among Easy Bikes and other battery-run rickshaw drivers under the supervision of KMP Deputy Commissioner (Traffic),” he added.

Talking to BSS, Zulfiqar Ali Haider, Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP), said that KMP played a role in bringing the law and order situation under control in every crisis .

The KMP chief emphasized the need for collective efforts to maintain law and order situation in Khulna city.  

He also underscored the importance of security awareness at both individual and institutional levels alongside police initiatives.
