VC congratulates stakeholders as JU tops country in THE ranking

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Oct 13, 2025 (BSS) - Jahangirnagar University (JU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan today congratulated teachers, researchers, students, and all stakeholders as JU secured the top position among Bangladeshi universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026.

This year, JU has been placed within the 801-1000 range globally, earning praise for its sustained excellence in education, research, and innovation.

In a congratulatory message, the Vice-Chancellor said, "This recognition is the outcome of our collective endeavour driven by the sincere efforts of our teachers, researchers, students, and administrative staff."

He further noted that this achievement reflects Jahangirnagar University's growing global presence and its unwavering commitment to excellence in higher education.

Dr Kamrul highlighted the university's ongoing initiatives to enhance the quality of education and research, including increased financial allocations for research activities and international journal publications.

He added that further measures are being planned to strengthen the academic and research environment. "The university will continue its commitment to improving both academic and research standards by offering incentives and additional financial support," he emphasized.
