Four businesses fined for cheating in weight

BAGERHAT, April 21, 2025 (BSS) - The Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) today fined three meat shops for slaughtering cows in unhygienic conditions and deceiving customers by manipulating weights.

A team of DNCRP with the assistance of joint forces conducted a drive at a market of the district town and fined Taka 26,000 to three shops owned by one Abdus Salam for slaughtering cows in unhygienic atmosphere.

Besides, the team raided a fish market located in Fatepur Bazar and fined Taka 50,000 to a shop owner for cheating in weights.
