RANGPUR, April 21, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested Kawnia Upazila Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Shaheedbag Union Parishad Chairman Alhaj Md. Abdul Hannan on charges of hatching conspiracy against the government.
“He was arrested from the Shaheedbag Union Parishad office in Kawnia Upazila of the district on Monday afternoon,” Kaunda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Abdul Latif confirmed the arrest to BSS tonight.
Police said he was arrested under Section 151 of the Criminal Procedure Code on charges of being involved in conspiratorial activities against the government.
Later, the arrested person was sent to a Rangpur court, from where he was sent to jail,” the OC added.
