PABNA, April 21, 2025 (BSS)- Detectives today arrested four persons and recovered firearms from their possessions in drives at different parts of the district.

The arrestees are Jahid Hasan Rana, 33, son of late Sheikh Farid of Dohar Para in Sadar upazila, Sajjad Hossain, 26, son of SM Azam of Malitha Para of Hemayetpur, Abdul Rana, 41, son of Abdul Jalil of Protapur area and Russel Hossain, 45, son of Quddus Sheikh of Moharpur area.

On a tip-off, a team of DB police raided in Kashipur Bazar of Hemayetpur and arrested Jahid Hasan and seized 50 pieces of yaba tablets.

In another drive, they arrested Sajjad and Abdul Rana and seized foreign pistol, two magazines, 62 bullets, 4,000 pieces of yaba tablets and 80 grams of heroin.

In separate drive, the DB men arrested Russel and seized a foreign-made shotgun and five rounds of bullets.

Separate cases were filed with Pabna Sadar police station.
