KHULNA, April 22, 2025 (BSS) - The joint forces arrested a youth with firearms from Fultala upazila in the district early today.

The arrestee was identified as Selim Sheikh, 37, son of Sayeed Sheikh at ward no-7 at Fultala Bazar area in Khulna.

The joint forces conducted the drive around 3:00am at the residence of Selim Sheikh and recovered seven machetes and a one-barrel gun from the house, said Zellal Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Fultala Police Station.

The detained individual is currently being interrogated. A case has been filed in connection with the incident at Fultala Police Station, he added.
