2 held with ganja, Yaba tablets in Rangpur, Lalmonirhat

RANGPUR, May 2, 2025 (BSS) - The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in two 
separate drives arrested two suspected drug peddlers with ganja and Yaba 
tablets from Rangpur and Lalmonirhat districts during the last 24 hours.
 
The seized drugs include five kilograms of ganja and 370 pieces of Yaba 
tablets, said two separate press releases issued here tonight.

A team of the Crime Prevention Specialised Company (CPSC) of RAB-13 from 
Rangpur camp arrested a man with five kilograms of ganja and 190 pieces of 
Yaba tablets from the Modern Mour area in Rangpur city at 4:15 am today.
 
The detainee is Md Anu Mia, 52, son of late Monu Mia of Kashinagar village in 
Bijoynagar upazila of Brahamanbaria district. 
 
In another raid, the Crime Prevention Company (CPC)-2 of RAB-13 from 
Nilphamari camp arrested one person with 180 pieces of Yaba tablets from 
Doani Mour Barokhata point under Hatibandha upazila in Lalmonirhat district 
at 5:45 pm on Thursday.
 
The arrestee is Md Nishat Islam, 21, son of Md Mahtab Hossain of village 
Mohammadpur under Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat district.
 
After filing two separate cases, the elite force handed over the arrested 
persons to the respective police stations in Rangpur and Lalmonirhat 
districts.
