TCB starts sale of essentials in Netrakona

NETRAKONA, May 22, 2025 (BSS) - Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) 
started selling of essential commodities today through trucks at five places 
in the district town to ensure benefits for low-income groups.

Deputy Commissioner Banani Biswas inaugurated the programme at the town's 
Moktarpara ground.

On the first day, two liters of oil, one kilogram (Kg) of sugar and two-kg of 
pulses were sold at Taka 515.

Today, products are being sold to 2,000 consumers without TCB smart cards 
only through NID. 

This will continue until Eid-ul-Azha. Additionally, products of the TCB will 
be sold at fair prices on mobile trucks at a total of 11 points in the 
district in phases. 

In addition to selling products on mobile trucks, the administration also 
said that the product sales programme will also continue among consumers in 
10 upazilas of the district holding the TCB smart cards.
