Scout leaders call for strengthening scout training programmes

RANGPUR, May 23, 2025 (BSS) - Scout leaders at a multipurpose workshop today called for strengthening scout training programmes to enhance their skills and instill a spirit of knowledge, perseverance, and human qualities.
 

They viewed this at the district scouts' multipurpose workshop arranged for all eight Upazila Scout Commissioners, Secretaries, Upazila Scouts and Cub Leaders of Rangpur district at the District Scout Bhaban auditorium in the city.

 
The workshop thoroughly reviewed the training and social development programmes, planning for the upcoming 2025-26 financial year and the implementation status of the current year's training programs and social development programmes. 


Rangpur District Scout Commissioner Md Mahbubur Rahman conducted the workshop. 

 
Bangladesh Scouts Assistant Director Sudhir Chandra Barman, Leader Trainers Siddiqur Rahman, Aleya Khatun and Shamim Ara Seema, District Scout Secretary Md Abdur Rahim, Assistant Leader Trainers Nahid Akhtar Parveen and Mahmudul Akash spoke.

  
The speakers said the young students should have the proper training to enhance their skills for taking part in scouting along with pursuing academic and other extra-curricular activities to develop themselves as honest, worthy and patriotic citizens. 
 

Mahbubur Rahman said the disciplined and systematic life of scouts can play a crucial role to build a knowledge-based enlightened society free from drugs and all sorts of social curses.

 
Scouting contributes to the physical, intellectual, social, spiritual and mental development of boys and girls and scout participants can live as responsible citizens, and members of the national and international community. 
 

He said, "The scouts can gain knowledge about scouting methods from the training programme to provide services to society and humanity with a dedication to make the scout movement successful."
