CHATTOGRAM, May 24, 2025 (BSS) - Three-and-a-half-year-old twin brothers tragically drowned in the pond at Lohagara upazila of the district this morning.
 
The deceased were identified as Adil Hossain and Abir Hossain, both sons of Azizul Haque, from Haridar Ghona village, Ward No. 2, Barahatia, Lohagara Upazila of the district.
 
Local UP member Mamunar Rashid said the two brothers had been playing near the pond adjacent to their residence when they accidentally fell into the water.

When family members noticed the children were missing, they launched a frantic search. Eventually, relatives discovered the twins floating in the pond.

Later, the boys were immediately rescued and taken to a nearby hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared them dead.
