HABIGANJ, May 25, 2025 (BSS) - A three-day land fair began in the district this morning, aiming to make land-related services more accessible and hassle-free for citizens. 

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr Md Faridur Rahman inaugurated the fair by cutting a ribbon in front of the DC office.

A discussion meeting was also held on the occasion.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Deputy Commissioner said the initiative was taken to ensure people can receive land-related services easily and without facing harassment.

Chief Executive Officer of the District Council Md Nurul Islam, Public Prosecutor (PP) Md Abdul Hai, Civil Surgeon Dr Rantnadip Biswas, Additional Superintendent of Police Atiqul Islam, Joint Convener of the District BNP Unit Hazi Enamul Huq, District Jamaat Secretary Kazi Mohsin Ahmed, and valiant freedom fighter Golam Mostafa Rafique, among others, were present.

Earlier, a rally was brought out in Habiganj town around 9:30 am. People from all walks of life, including students, participated in the rally.

The fair will conclude on May 27.
