RAJSHAHI, May 25, 2025 (BSS) - A three-day land fair 2025 began here today
aims at reaching and familiarising the services related to lands to the
public in general from today.
In addition to holding a discussion meeting at Borokuthi Bhumi Office
premises in the city, a colourful rally was brought out there to mark the
inaugural ceremony of the fair.
Various issues related to reaching services to the general public through the
Land Service Facilitation Center (LSFC) at the upazila and union land offices
are being showcased in different stalls of the fair.
Apart from this, the landowners are having ideas about registration in
land.gov.bd land portal, e-mutation, application process, online land
development tax payment and different other services.
The fair will remain from 9 am to 5 pm every day until May 27.
Commissioner of Rajshahi Division Khandaker Azim Ahmed addressed the opening
discussion as the chief guest while Additional Commissioner Dr Chitralekha
Naznin and Deputy Land Reform Commissioner Taslima Khatun spoke as special
guests with Deputy Commissioner Afia Aklhter in the chair.
In his remarks, Khandaker Azim Ahmed said booklets titled "Bhumi Amar
Thikana" will be distributed among the service-recipients aimed at building
their capacity of realising their due rights overcoming fear related to land.
"Hundred percent land mutation online is in process at present," he said,
adding that a project for digital land survey is being implemented in
Rajshahi through collecting three dimensional satellite images.
There will be no need for manual land survey upon successful implementation
of digital land survey.
Khatian and the Map will be prepared automatically in terms of ownership
transfer.
The venture will save the public from the long-lasting harassment.
The chief guest urged his subordinate colleagues to discharge their services
with utmost sincerity and honesty so that the service-recipients are highly
satisfied.
He called for ensuring people-friendly land services after the best use of
modern information communication and technologies.
Building close and cordial relations between the staff of land offices and
the public in general is the precondition to make the land services pro-
people.
