RANGPUR, July 21, 2025 (BSS) - The 'Satata' (Integrity) store will encourage students to practice honesty from a young age, helping them grow into patriotic citizens and contribute to building a long-cherished corruption-free society.
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Director General (Enquiry & Investigation-2) Md Motaher Hossain said this while addressing a discussion at Begum Rokeya Auditorium of Salema Girls' High School in the city on Sunday as the chief guest.
The event was organized on the occasion of the inauguration of the 'Satata' store at the school, which is widely recognized for the high moral standards of its teachers and students.
Presided over by Headmaster Md Maqbul Hossain, the discussion was attended by Deputy Director of the District Integrated Office of the ACC Md Shaon Mia as special guest.
Teachers, members of the Integrity Unit, students, and local dignitaries were also present at the programme.
Earlier, the chief guest inaugurated the 'Satata' store by cutting a ribbon and offering prayers.
Speaking on the occasion, Headmaster Md Maqbul Hossain said the 'Satata' store has been introduced to help students nurture the value of honesty in institutional life.
"Students can purchase educational materials such as pens, notebooks, pencils, and scales from the 'Satata' store at a fixed price without any shopkeeper or supervision. They are to deposit the money in a designated box placed at the store," he said.
In his speech, the ACC Director General said the 'Satata' store is not just a shop but a platform for promoting morality.
"It is one of the best examples of practicing honesty and self-restraint in both family and institutional life from an early age, which is essential for staying free from corruption," he added.
