Workshop on environment, forest conservation held in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT, Aug 17, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Coast Guard today organised a workshop and public awareness programme on environment and forest conservation under the title "Youth Festival-2025."

Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq told BSS this afternoon that the Coast Guard has been working tirelessly to protect lives and property in coastal and riverine areas, carry out rescue operations, and respond to natural disasters.

As part of these activities, a public awareness meeting and workshop was held on the premises of the Coast Guard Outpost in Nalian at 10 am today with the theme "Come and change the country, change the world."

The workshop featured theoretical training and discussions on environmental and forest protection, wildlife conservation, and rescue activities during disasters. Students from various schools and madrasas in the Nalian area, as well as teenagers, fishermen, boatmen, professionals, and local residents, took part in the programme.
