Online GD programme launched in Jhenaidah

JHENAIDAH, July 21, 2025 (BSS) - The online General Diary (GD) programme was launched early today in six police stations of the district to bring the services of Bangladesh Police closer to the people and make the process more accessible.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Manjur Morshed formally inaugurated the programme at Sadar Police Station at 12:01 am.

Additional Superintendent of Police Imran Zakaria, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Md Mahfuz Hossain, President of Jhenaidah Press Club Asif Kajal, its General Secretary Aminul Islam Liton, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station Abdullah Al Mamun and other police officials were present on the occasion.

Speaking at the event, SP Manjur Morshed said the online GD initiative will allow citizens to file all types of general diaries digitally, eliminating the need to visit police stations in person.
