BSTI penalizes 2 food factories TK 45,000 in Natore

RAJSHAHI, July 29, 2025 (BSS) - An ice-cream factory and a bakery were penalized on charges of their involvement in producing and selling food items in unhygienic conditions in Natore district today.
 
Acting on a tip-off, the divisional office of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) conducted the drives at different areas in Lalpur upazila.
 
Led by Executive Magistrate Mehedi Hassan, the team found Desh Ice-cream factory at Abdulpur area and Putul Bakery at Kamarhati area selling adulterated ice lolly and bakery items without BSTI certificate and lodged two cases and fined TK 30,000 and TK 15,000 respectively.
