Rice prices drop in Dinajpur

DINAJPUR, July 29, 2025 (BSS) – The rice price has started to fall in the district following the government’s initiatives to ensure affordable prices of rice for the common people in the country. 

A BSS correspondent who visited different areas including Bahadur Bazar, Chawkbazar, Barabandar and Pulhat, on Monday found that the rice prices  marked declining trend  in the district.
 
Dinajpur Pulhat Bhai Bhai Auto-Rice Mill owner Md Sadek Ali said that the rice market in Dinajpur has suddenly been declining during the last two weeks. 

He mentioned that within the last one week, the wholesale price of rice in Dinajpur has declined by TK 150 to TK 200 in per 50 kg sack.

Rice mill owners and traders observed that the market prices of rice have started decreasing due to the effect of the government measures.
